commodities such as grains, livestock and dairy provide a source of food for people and animals across the Nigeria.
The agriculture sector is considered to be the strongest and most developed branches of economy in Nigeria.
Up to 30% of the population is engaged in this industry.

Poultry, is the fastest growing segments in the Agricultural industry in Nigeria and across Africa as a result of population growth and increased urbanization.

AFAN has executives in all the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, All the 36 States and FCT as well as the National Executive comprising the National President, 2 Deputy National Presidents, several Vice National Presidents, Women and Youth Executives as well as several executives saddled with responsibilities such as Finance, Public relations, Organizing as well as Legal Advise.The main responsibility is Advocacy and keeping the farmers abreast of all available take-aways from government activities in the Agric Sector as well as keying into the activities of the private sector, donor organizations,multilateral organizations which impact Agriculture in Nigeria.
